THE OPTIMUS PRIME OF TABLES: TRANSFORMER TABLE 2.0

The Transformer Table 2.0 is currently being featured on Kickstarter. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this project was the fact that I could literally use this table for the rest of my life. Coming from a guy in his late 20’s, I’ve moved a lot. Seriously, a lot. I’ve left countless tables in previous spots because I didn’t have the space or care enough about it to take it with me. When you live with roommates, tables are those things that just kind of live with the house. This is a table I could take with me from place to place and never have to worry about it accommodating the space.

It’s really the only table you’ll ever need.

The people at Transformer Table did a pretty crafty job by making a compact 2 person table turn into a fully decked-out 12 person table expanding to nearly 10 feet (118″ inches). Will it work for an apartment? Yes. Will it work for my mansion? Yes.

Ok, so my table is Optimus Prime, but really though, how does this thing work?

Transformer Table 2.0 uses incredibly sturdy supports and telescopic steel braces to make this revolutionary beast. You can see in the images below, they definitely did their engineering homework. The ingenious design allows the unused tabletop to cleanly be stored away in the centerpiece. Out of sight, out of mind. The bracketing system is secure enough to hold together while your crazy uncle gets a little animated at Thanksgiving, so no, Thanksgiving dinner is not in danger when you’ve got 12 rowdy family members arguing about the current state of affairs.

Colors? Yes. A lot, actually.

Interested in upgrading your dining room table? Back the Transformer Table 2.0 project on Kickstarter and show their dedicated team some love. I don’t think you’ll be regretting it.
