Well worth it
This table and bench are amazing. We are now able to seat most of our family at one table for each holiday. When it is just my husband and I one leaf will do it. We also purchased the coffee table for storage of leafs. One of the best purchases we have made. It was so wonderful to see everyone together at one table this Easter. Amazing idea. Then we close it up and it gives us so much room.

Nice Table
I'd previously bought a transformer style table on Wayfair years ago. Table worked but fell apart within a year. I was a little reluctant to spend the money on the transformer table but I can tell you comparing the mechanism side by side the transformer table is made to last. It opens and closes super smoothly and is easy for two people to use without having to fiddle with alignment too much. The wood is gorgeous. As a novice woodworker I notice how well things are made and this table is solidly done. It's pretty simple looking and people are amazed that it gets as large as it does but when you're sitting at it it feels solid and well made. It's pricey but if versatility in size is important to you it's worth it. And I wouldn't go for the cheap versions at least the one I got was really crap and only lasted a short time.
