How do I care for my Gather extendable farmhouse dining set?

For the dining table, bench, and solid wood chair frames, wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and clean with the direction of the wood grain. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, and excess moisture, and use placemats or coasters to help protect the tabletop. For the six upholstered Gather Dining Chairs, clean spills promptly and follow the recommended care instructions for the water-repellent polyester fabric. Natural grain variation, cathedral figures, and small knots are expected in Gather wood finishes and contribute to the character of each piece.

General information

What is an extendable farmhouse dining set?

An extendable farmhouse dining set combines traditional farmhouse design with a dining table that can grow when you need more room. This rectangular Gather set includes an extendable trestle dining table, one matching bench, and six upholstered dining chairs, giving you a mix of communal and individual seating in one coordinated setup.

Is an extendable farmhouse dining set better than a fixed dining set?

An extendable farmhouse dining set gives you more options when both your guest count and preferred seating arrangement change. The Gather Dining Table can grow from 72" to 152", while the bench extends from 44" to 150". With six individual chairs included as well, you can use different combinations of chair and bench seating without keeping the entire set fully extended every day.

What are the benefits of an extendable farmhouse dining table set with a bench and chairs?

This extendable farmhouse dining table set gives you two different seating styles around one adaptable table. The Gather Extendable Bench offers communal seating for up to six people, while the six Gather Dining Chairs provide individual upholstered seats with supportive contoured backrests. That combination gives you more flexibility for everyday meals, family dinners, and larger gatherings.
