Which farmhouse collection offers a round dining table?

The Gather Collection offers the round farmhouse dining table option. The Gather Extendable Round Table starts as a 48" circle and expands with three extension panels into a 108" racetrack oval, seating from 4 to 10 people. Its crossbuck trestle base keeps the same American farmhouse character as the rectangular Gather table, making it a strong option for shoppers looking for a round farmhouse dining table, oval farmhouse dining table, or round trestle dining table with room to grow.

Should I choose a rectangular or round farmhouse dining table?

Choose a rectangular farmhouse dining table if you want maximum seating capacity and a longer table for larger gatherings. Both Savor and Gather rectangular tables expand from 72" to 152" long and seat up to 16. Choose Gather’s round farmhouse dining table if you prefer a more compact everyday shape and easier movement around the table. It begins as a 48" circle, then extends into an oval farmhouse dining table that seats up to 10.

Which farmhouse dining table is better for a smaller space?

The Gather Round Dining Table offers the smallest compact footprint of the farmhouse tables, measuring 48" × 48" when closed compared with 48" × 72" for the rectangular Savor and Gather tables. Its round shape can also make circulation around the dining area easier, while still expanding into a 108" oval when more seating is needed. For longer dining rooms, the rectangular extendable farmhouse dining tables may fit the space better, so always plan around both the compact and fully extended dimensions before choosing your farmhouse dining set.

Which farmhouse dining table offers the most seating?

The rectangular Savor and Gather farmhouse dining tables offer the highest seating capacity, with room for up to 16 people when fully extended. Savor expands from seating 6 to 16, while the rectangular Gather table seats 6 to 16. The Gather Round Dining Table seats 4 to 10 as it extends from round to oval. For shoppers prioritizing the largest farmhouse dining table set, a rectangular pedestal dining table from Savor or trestle dining table from Gather provides the most room for bigger family meals and gatherings.

What farmhouse dining set configurations are available?

Our farmhouse dining sets are available in four main seating configurations: extendable table with one bench, extendable table with two benches, extendable table with six chairs and one bench, or extendable table with six chairs. Savor offers each configuration around its rectangular pedestal dining table, while Gather lets you build around either a rectangular trestle dining table or a round-to-oval farmhouse dining table. Both collections can also be built piece by piece with coordinating seating and storage.

Can I choose chairs, benches, or a combination of both?

Yes. Both Savor and Gather let you choose the seating configuration that works best for your space and the way you gather. Go with dining chairs for individual seating, extendable benches for a more communal farmhouse dining setup, or combine both for added flexibility. Savor offers one matching extendable bench, while Gather includes a rectangular bench and a curved-end bench designed for its round-to-oval table.

What is the difference between the Savor and Gather benches?

The Savor Extendable Bench pairs with Savor’s rectangular pedestal dining table, seats up to six people, and stores all five extension panels inside its central compartment. Gather offers two farmhouse dining benches: a rectangular extendable bench that seats up to six and a curved-end bench designed for the round-to-oval dining table that seats up to four. Both Gather benches store their extension panels inside and carry the collection’s signature crossbuck trestle details.

Do both farmhouse collections include matching sideboards?

Yes. Both Savor and Gather include coordinating sideboards designed to extend the farmhouse look beyond the dining table while adding dedicated panel storage and serving space. The Savor Sideboard stores all four Savor table panels, while the Gather Sideboard stores either all four rectangular table panels or all three panels from the round farmhouse dining table. Each sideboard helps keep extension panels organized and close to the table when it is time to make room for more.

Which farmhouse collection offers the most finish customization?

The Gather Collection offers the most finish customization. Choose a Belgian Oak or French Chestnut tabletop and pair it with a Patina Black or Patina White base for four curated two-tone combinations. Savor takes a more coordinated approach, with Driftwood and Tuscan Walnut finishes that reinforce its European farmhouse character. If you want more control over the look of your farmhouse dining table, Gather gives you the broader range of finish pairings.

What is the difference between a pedestal dining table and a trestle dining table?

A pedestal dining table is defined by a central or multi-pedestal support system, while a trestle dining table uses a structural base that supports the tabletop from below. Within our farmhouse collections, Savor combines both ideas: its dining table is most accurately described as a double-pedestal trestle dining table, with sculpted baluster pedestals creating its European farmhouse silhouette. Gather uses a more traditional crossbuck trestle base, giving it a distinctly American farmhouse look.

How do Savor and Gather bring traditional farmhouse style into a modern home?

Savor and Gather preserve recognizable farmhouse details while adding the flexibility modern dining spaces need. Savor brings European farmhouse influence through sculpted double pedestals, substantial proportions, and rich wood character, while Gather uses American farmhouse cues such as crossbuck trestle bases, communal bench seating, and customizable finishes. Both pair those traditional forms with extendable tables, coordinated seating, panel storage, and modern expansion systems built for everyday dining and larger gatherings.

Can I coordinate my farmhouse dining table, seating, and storage?

Yes. Both collections are designed as extendable farmhouse dining sets, with tables, dining chairs, extendable benches, and matching sideboards that share the same design language. Savor carries its European farmhouse details across its pedestal table, bench, chairs, and storage, while Gather repeats its crossbuck trestle character across rectangular and round-to-oval dining sets. You can coordinate the full room or build your farmhouse dining setup piece by piece.

Do Savor and Gather dining sets come with a 30-Day Home Trial?

Yes. Eligible Savor and Gather dining sets are covered by our 30-Day Home Trial, giving you time to experience your farmhouse dining set in your own space and make sure the size, finish, and seating configuration work for your home. For set purchases, the pieces must be returned together if you decide the dining set is not the right fit.

Do the Savor and Gather extension mechanisms have a lifetime warranty?

Yes. The galvanized steel telescopic rail systems used in the Savor and Gather extendable farmhouse dining tables are backed by a lifetime warranty. These rails support the expansion system that allows each dining table to extend for larger gatherings while maintaining stability through repeated use.

What does the lifetime warranty cover on the extendable farmhouse dining tables?

The lifetime warranty applies to qualifying telescopic extension mechanisms, including the galvanized steel rail systems that allow the Savor and Gather dining tables to expand. It does not mean every component of the farmhouse dining set carries lifetime coverage, so it is important to review the full warranty terms for details on qualifying parts, exclusions, and additional manufacturing coverage.

Where can I find the full warranty and Home Trial details?

You can find complete warranty coverage, exclusions, and terms on the Transformer Table warranty page, including details on the lifetime coverage for qualifying extension mechanisms. Full 30-Day Home Trial terms are also available on our Returns Page, including eligibility requirements and return conditions for complete dining sets.

Explore the Gather Collection

Rooted in American Farmhouse Tradition

Inside a New England farmhouse, the scent of woodsmoke and warm cider lingers as the kitchen hums with life. When an unexpected knock brings extra family stamping in from the autumn chill, it’s the best kind of interruption. There’s always room for more at this gathering. An extra panel glides effortlessly into place, and the circle simply grows wider.

The spirit of the American homestead lives on in the Gather Collection. Solid and welcoming, each piece pairs handcrafted warmth with our signature extendable engineering that’s built to handle decades of everyday life.

Choose Your Table Shape

The Gather Collection gives you two farmhouse table shapes, each designed around a different way of using your space. Choose the rectangular trestle dining table for a more traditional farmhouse layout, with a long profile that expands from 72" to 152" and seats up to 16.

For a softer footprint, the round farmhouse dining table starts as a 48" circle and extends into a 108" oval to seat up to 10. Its curved form works especially well in spaces where easier movement around the table matters, while still keeping Gather’s signature crossbuck trestle character.

Choose Your Finish and Seating Configuration

The Gather Collection gives you the ability to customize your extendable farmhouse dining day according to your decor or personal preferences. Choose a Belgian Oak or French Chestnut tabletop, then pair it with a Patina Black or Patina White base to create one of four curated finish combinations.

From there, find the seating setup that works for your home. Pair the rectangular or round-to-oval table with Gather Dining Chairs, a coordinating extendable bench, or a combination of both. The rectangular table works with the Gather Extendable Bench, while the round-to-oval table pairs with the Gather Curved-End Bench for a more cohesive fit around its softer shape.

Inspired by the Farmhouses of Europe

In the Tuscan countryside, a flagstone terrace overlooks the endless green rows of a vineyard. Carafes of wine are passed hand to hand, over linen napkins resting beside plates of crusty bread and olive oil. The leisurely cadence of laughter carries the gathering long past dusk.

At the heart of these moments is the table itself: a substantial, welcoming anchor built to endure a generation of use. The Savor Collection translates this timeless European farmhouse tradition for the modern home, pairing a classic trestle table concept with Transformer Table’s signature engineering.

From Daily Rituals to Feasts for 16

Even at its most compact, Savor seats six comfortably. Its stately proportions and generous 48” wide tabletop elevate weeknight meals from simple routine to daily ritual.

When hosting expands beyond the everyday, four extension panels effortlessly lengthen the silhouette from 72” to a commanding 152”, welcoming up to 16 guests into the fold.

After the last toast is made, matching expandable benches retract with ease and extension panels store neatly out of sight in the sideboard. Just like that, your everyday sanctuary is ready again.

Durability in Every Detail

The Savor Collection is engineered to anchor every occasion without compromise. Underneath its rich wood surface, hybrid solid wood construction with high grade materials resists seasonal warping, keeping the tabletop perfectly level year after year.

Expert joinery means zero wobble, even when fully extended. Paired with a heavy-duty galvanized steel glide system backed by a lifetime warranty, Savor ensures you can host spontaneous gatherings with poise and enduring stability.
